As the wheel of the year turns and the season of renewal unfolds, I invite you to join me in celebrating the sacred festival of Beltane, a time of blossoming, fertility, and the vibrant energies of spring.

​

Beltane (also known as May Day) is one of the four main festivals, or quarters, on the Wheel of the Year and a very important one at that. Beltane was originally a Celtic celebration of the sun and the fertile land below. During this time, we revel in the warmth of the sunshine as well as the growth, vitality, and fertility that it promises.

​

This festival is known to the Irish as Lá Bealtaine, which translates roughly to “bright fire.” As such, it is a significant fire festival thrown in dedication to the gods to ask for their divine blessings of abundance during the warmer half of the year.

​

Beltane holds deep spiritual significance as we honour the union of the goddess and the god, the blossoming of life, and the fertility of the Earth. It is a time of joyous celebration, where we come together to embrace the rhythms of nature and the blessings of the season.

During our gathering, we will:

​

~ Have a welcome circle, coming together in a sacred circle to connect with one another.

​
~ Sit in ceremony with Cacao, we will drink this beautiful medicine and lay down to hear her teachings. You will journey inward through a guided meditation, tapping into the potent energies of Beltane before enjoying a healing gong bath. 

​
~ Sit round a fire (Weather Dependent). We will gather around a sacred fire to honour the flames of transformation and the warmth of community. We will offer our intentions to the flames, seeking blessings for the journey ahead.

​This will be a cosy circle of 9 women ​and a £30 energy exchange with a small admin fee. 

​

The circle will be held in Stroud and the location will be given to you the week before the circle or you can contact me if you'd like to know beforehand.

 

It’s of high importance that when attending this circle that everything spoken about is kept within the circle. Sharing with each other in complete confidence and having the ability to trust each other is a beautiful thing and can be so powerful and healing, but the breaking of that trust can be damaging, so let’s keep our sisterhood completely sacred in that way.
